Tag Rugby Tournament

Following three out of three wins, our team of rugby players made it through to Division 1 at Thursday morning's Tag Rugby tournament for small schools in South Cambs. After a tough second round of matches, we were incredibly proud to have been nominated by 4 different schools for demonstrating the Spirit of the Games values of 'teamwork' and 'respect' awarding them the top spot in this coveted award. As a school with such high expectations of our children, respect being one of our four Coton STARs and co-operation being one of our five key values, Mrs Osborne was thrilled that the team was highlighted for demonstrating these values outside as well as inside of school. Finishing 4th out of the 16 teams that took part is a fantastic achievement for this group of children that have committed hours to performing drills and perfecting skills during the after school club, run  by our volunteer parent, Dan Lewis. We are incredibly grateful to Dan for nurturing each of the children and contributing so positively to their individual and team progress over the course of last term. Mrs Osborne would also like to thank Miss Jarvis whose bonus visit and ever present enthusiasm and encouragement lifted the player's spirits enormously. What a team, what a morning!
