Intent

At Coton C of E (VC) Primary School, we aim to provide our children with the keys they need to flourish in Reading. We value reading as a crucial life skill - fundamental to the overall development of each child, their ability to access the wider curriculum and to achieving future success. Our intent is to equip our readers with the necessary skills and knowledge they need to read fluently, read with prosidy and a deep level of understanding. We aim to ignite a love of reading and ensure that reading is accessible to all learners to secure success for all pupils.
