Girls Football Festival

What an afternoon! 

Our year 3 girls had a fantastic afternoon playing football at the South Cambs School Sports Football Festival. It was quite possibly the most heart warming event that Coton have had the pleasure to attend. All teams that took part showed so many of the School Games Values... respect, honesty, self-belief, teamwork and determination. They were encouraging not only of one another but also of the opposition. All girls were celebrating goals that they scored and that their opponents scored. They were empathetic towards girls that got a little knock or to goalkeepers that let a goal in. It really was a special place to be.

Our girls showed all five of our school values throughout the course of the afternoon. Mrs Osborne was incredibly proud of each and everyone of them. 

A special mention musts got to Maggie and Maisie who stepped into their courageous football boots to play alongside girls from other schools in an All Stars team.

At Coton, we are passionate about our children. Passionate about them developing into well rounded individuals. Passionate about them becoming invaluable team players. Passionate about their physical and personal development. 

The girls that represented our school at this festival are true Coton girls - we are so lucky that they are part of our school community.
