Karate Club
We welcomed not only our karate club members to the first grading event of 2025 but were incredibly fortunate to extend a welcome to World Champion, Sensei Matt Johnson, from Peterborough who shared his expert knowledge, inspired and supported Sensei Dom and Sensei Francisco this afternoon.
Successes all round as each and every one of the children performed such that they were awarded their next belt! Smiles and celebrations a plenty - and rightly so. A testament to the children's weekly commitment.
It was truly heart-warming to hear Sensei Matt speak so highly of the children's outstanding etiquette, exemplary behaviour and true respect that he was witness to over the course of the afternoon. It is always a real delight to hear visitors to our school community commenting on the positive attitudes being displayed by our children.
Equally rewarding to witness Sensei Matt and Sensei Dom engage in a kumite which left the children in awe and inspired.
