Korfball

We loved our first session of Korfball! Following last half term's Korfball taster session, Mrs Osborne decided to test her own Coton Courage to lead a before school Korfball club. Learning a new sport is not easy so huge respect to all the children that took on the challenge. Week one saw us developing our shooting technique which we then put into practice during our game play. 

Lots of new rules to learn, lots of new skills to master and lots of resilience on show. Mrs Osborne isn't sure who enjoyed it more, the children of her! Can't wait for next week's session - fingers crossed the sun shines on us like it did this morning. 

This week in Korfball club, we recapped our shooting technique and learned two new footwork steps - the 'cross over' and the 'brake'. 

Applying these skills into game practice proved to be a little challenging but it was great to see everyone remembering some of the key rules when playing Korfball. We can't wait for next week!
