Running Club

Quite possibly Mrs Osborne's favourite part of the week!

Friday morning running club is without doubt good for the mind, body and soul.

Great to see over 20 children from KS2 up and running by 0800.

A great route for this morning's run bettered only by the glorious morning sunshine.

What a way start a Friday!

So proud of this morning's running clubbers.

Due to the challenging weather conditions, we stayed indoors but they worked sooooooooo hard!

We created a circuit with all stations running themed - even including Coton's very own 'steeple chase' station!

Red faces, sweat and heavy breathing were definitely the order of the day!

Not content with their effort's at this week's cross country event, nor with the forthcoming Santa Stroll scheduled for later this morning, our Friday morning runners donned their trainers once again ahead of the start of the school day. Aside from an occasional breather, they ran continuously for 25 minutes! Working in pairs, one took the baton and proceeded to complete a lap of our 'track' whilst their partner performed incline 'drives'. The children's resilience, determination and stamina have all increased since the start of the club. Final week next week...children's choice!

The last running club of the term and a great way to finish. A dynamic warm up, swiftly followed by a few games of 'cone champ' before finishing with a shortened version of the infamous 'Ton Up'!

We have loved it!
