Table Tennis Club

It is so lovely to see Mrs Flett open up Monday morning Table Tennis Club to Years 2, 3 and 4 having offered it to our Year 5 and 6 children last half term. Equally lovely to see Miriam, one of our Year 5 children volunteering to share her expertise and supporting as a junior coach.
This week, children learned how to hold their bats in the ready position and explored the impact that using a closed or open bat has on the trajectory of the ball.
Great fun was had playing the 'dragons nest' game - seeing who could win the dragons eggs from their partner!
A very different session for table tennis club this morning as children made giant tables with hoops serving as targets to help us practice our aim. Every child managed to serve and hit the ball into the target hoop. Great fun was then had playing giant doubles and round the world.
So much Coton Cooperation was on show matched only by Mrs Flett's Coton creativity!
Challenges all round.
