Ball Skills - Hands 2
What a beautiful start to the summer term for Otters to be able to develop their underarm and overarm throwing ahead of applying these fundamental ball skills to beating their opponent. Children further extended their understanding of why we need to be accurate when throwing as part of this morning's lesson with Mr P.
This week's 'hands' focus - catching, pivoting and receiving the ball. Lots of teamwork and communication required in order to succeed socially.

In the final session of the half term, Otters worked on developing their hand-eye coordination skills. They focused on throwing a ball with accuracy towards a target trying to do so with precision and control.
To end with a little inter competition, an opportunity to see who could throw a ball the furthest with accuracy - the aim being to land the ball into a hoop! No mean feat! It was heart warming to see so much Coton co-operation and compassion on show as the Otters cheered each other on. Physical, cognitive, social and emotional successes all round this week. Well done Otters!
