Yoga








Having taken the opportunity to follow Julia Scarboro (a primary PE specialist working for the South Cambridgeshire School Sports Partnership) for 6 weeks earlier in the year, Miss Ewles is working with a small group of our upper Key Stage 2 pupils this half term to develop their strength, flexibility and balance whilst enhancing their mental wellbeing, concentration and stress management skills. What a fantastic opportunity for both Miss Ewles to put into practice her professional development and for our children to foster emotional regulation, self-esteem and a sense of calm and relaxation.
Miss Ewles extended her yoga group today by offering a post SATS yoga well-being session to all of our Year 6 children. She was a little surprised by the 'larger than anticipated' uptake but went with it nonetheless! So thoughtful and such a wonderful opportunity for the children to access such a calming, nurturing environment after what has a been a challenging week. Huge thanks to Miss Ewles for facilitating the opportunity and to all the children for engaging so brilliantly.
