Active Lunchtimes

Despite the below freezing temperatures experienced during the first week of the spring term, our Year 6 playleaders were out doing what they do best and supporting our younger children safely to engage in physical activities at lunchtime.

A few heart-warming snaps from lunchtime today! Children playing and supporting others from across the classes, hula-hoopers setting and beating personal targets and Play Leaders bringing back some classics in the form of 'Red Light, Green Light (a take on Grandma's footsteps).

What a beautiful day to get the trim trail opened up again at lunchtime. Days like today seem to be few and far between at the moment so it is vital for our children that we grab every opportunity to provide these opportunities whenever we can. They certainly seem to be enjoying it!

The children's Coton creativity shone through the drizzle at lunchtime today as they explored varying ways to use the play equipment!

Stilt walking to hula-hooping with Miss Jarvis - with jumps / eyes closed / holding hands just to add an extra challenge! All this happening whilst our Play Leaders were busy entertaining a large number of the children with a firm favourite - 'Red Light / Green Light'.
