Athletics Fun May 2022
What another wonderful half term of P.E. we have had in Kestrel class. With the help of the fantastic Sports Leaders from Comberton and their amazing teacher, Miss Kingston, we have had the opportunity to perfect our endurance, speed and athletic abilities. The Sports Leaders have spent time teaching us the correct techniques for a variety of throwing, running and jumping activities (such as javelin, shotput and triple jump) through a mixture of circuit and interval training styles.
As always, we would like to thank Mrs Osborne, our P.E. lead, for organising this weekly experience and also Miss Kingston and her excellent pupils!
Our sporting fun in Kestrel Class doesn't stop there! On Friday 13th May, we had the pleasure of welcoming David Adams (Mrs Baker's husband) in to school to lead a baseball taster session. We got to rehearse effective fielding techniques (even using baseball mitts!) before applying this to a mini-game. So much fun was had by all that we have managed to persuade Mr Adams to lead a Baseball Club for us in the second half of the summer term! Thank you to both Mr Adams and Mrs Baker for this incredible opportunity!
