Welcome Message by Headteacher

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our website. I hope you find it informative and that it provides you with a flavour of the special nature of our school. You should find everything you need to know about our school on this website. We are here for you and your children and I warmly invite you to contact me concerning any aspect of school life or if you require any further information about the school. Visits to the school are always welcome.

We are a happy and caring school with a strong sense of community where learning is at the centre of all we do.  We believe that children learn best when the school and parents work together in partnership. We strive to provide a dynamic and inspiring education which appeals to the many interests of the children.  Our aim is that everyone in our school reaches the highest standards of achievement possible whilst becoming confident and independent. We believe that our children should not only reach their best academically, but also develop a love for lifelong learning and understand the importance of resilience when faced with a challenge.

We currently teach the pupils across 5 classes; Amethyst Class- Reception and Year 1,  Ruby Class- Years  1 and 2, Emerald Class -Years 3 and 4, Topaz Class- Years 4 and 5 and Sapphire Class- Years 5 and 6. By the end of Year 6, children leave our school ready to step up to the challenges of the next stage of their educational career.  They leave us confident to take responsibility for their own learning and are  excited to make new friendships and develop new relationships.

Our lovely school lies at the heart of the community and we positively encourage volunteers, whether parents, grandparents or other community members to come in to help out in school on a regular basis or otherwise.

Many members of the school community contribute to the website and this reflects the passion so many people have for our school and how hard people work in support of our community, particularly in ensuring the best possible start in life for our children. Some of the pages are changed regularly whilst some may only change annually. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff, volunteers and visitors to our school to share this commitment. I hope that what comes across is our openness and willingness to listen to both children and parents. Just as our school is warm and friendly, I hope you find the website the same, as well as being informative and interesting.

Enjoy dipping in and out of the various parts of the website and seeing what we get up to!
