ARMISTICE 'POPPY'DAY

On Tuesday 11th  November at 11am Coton School remembered the end of the First World War. Our collective worship was held in the hall and outside. The children had made poppies beforehand for a display in the hall and they also made 3 D poppies to be 'planted' at the front of the school for the whole community to share.
The children were asked to wear red (to represent the poppy) and the staff wore black ( to represent the centre of the poppy). Everyone then walked to the new playground to make a school community poppy!

It was a special and memorable morning. The children showed respect and thoughfulness.
