February 2017

8th February 2017
On Wednesday 8th February Shira, Jakub, Caitlin, Caitlin, Hannah and Amerie represented Coton school in the year 3/4 Gymnastics competition. They were a credit to the school! They each had to perform two vaults in the Ally Brennan Gym in front of 6 other schools. It was very intense and scary. All children tried their best and then had to wait while the other teams had their turn.
Next the team had to perform a floor or body management routine in another gym. This was even scarier as everyone was watching and there were 6 judges for each routine. The children were all very brave and completed their routines.
Then it was a longer wait as 6 other teams performed. Coton team sat and watched the other school with respect and concentration. I was very proud of them.
Finally we all went through to the Ally Brennan gym where all 13 teams gathered to find out the results. It was a nail biting time. The results were given in reverse order. There was only 5 points separating 10th to 1st position so it was a very close competition.
Coton came third!! Only 2 points between 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. The team should be very proud of themselves becuase I know I am.
